Recently, I saw the poster(that U.S. censors deemed too risqué for American eyes)featuring a scantily clad Eva Green in this summer’s coming “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For”. Having seen it now, I believe there is little doubt that, I have to attend “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For”! Eva Green. I’ve been infatuated since first laying eyes on her in Bertolucci’s “The Dreamers” in 2004. Since then, this mesmerizing French beauty, has been the greatest Bond girl ever in 2006’s “Casino Royale”, and one of the sexiest vampires to grace the big screen this century, in 2012’s “Dark Shadows” from Tim Burton. Eva also supplied lauded work in features like Ridley Scott’s “Kingdom of Heaven” in 2005 and 2014’s “300: Rise of an Empire” . Currently, she is starring in a Showtime horror series, that is probably going to force me to watch episodic television again, “Penny Dreadful”. So yes, I’m thrilled that Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Robert Rodriguez, Rosario Dawson and Bruce Willis are all back for the sequel to 2006’s “Sin City”(one of my Ten Best films of that year). But it’s the appearance of Ms. Green that’s getting me into the theater. She kind of possesses that power.
